Full Prayer:
Jesus, my heart cries out to You in torment! From the depths of my soul, I ask, “Where are You, my Jesus?”
Jesus, the pain I feel is unimaginable. It as if my heart has been torn in two.
Jesus, why have You taken my loved one from me?
Your ways are not my ways, Your thoughts far beyond my thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). Jesus, I know this in my mind, but in my heart I feel these words are lost.
My anger is real, Jesus. My exhaustion leaves me without strength for my days. The sadness overwhelms my soul. Where are You, my dear Jesus?
Speak my name, so I may hear Your sweet voice. Gently touch my fragile soul with Your healing love.
“Come to Me, My child. Rest in Me. Trust in Me,” You speak softly to my heart.
Jesus, I lay all down at the foot of Your cross. I give You my loved one. I give You my aching heart.
Jesus, give me the trust to know You are holding my loved one in Your arms now. Help me to release my loved one into Your Heart, knowing he/she is safe there for eternity.
Jesus, as for me, strengthen me, heal me, soothe the wounds filled with pain and agony.
When I am consumed with anger, fill me with Your peace.
When I am sad, fill me with Your love.
When I am exhausted, fill me with Your fortitude and strength.
When I wonder if I will ever emerge from this place of grief, give me the hope of heaven and a glimpse of the joy of eternal life with You.
Jesus, help me to breathe in the Holy Spirit when I am anxious. Help me to experience Your love rushing to my heart when I become fearful.
Jesus, help me to step forward in hope, faith, and love in each day, each hour, each moment.
Help me to trust You are who You say You are — my Lord, my Redeemer, my Savior, my God.
Jesus, I give You my heart now. In Your mercy, give me Yours. Amen.
