A Prayer for Those Who Have Loved Ones with Anxiety and/or Depression

If you have a loved one affected by anxiety and/or depression, Jesus knows Your struggle, He knows Your pain. Jesus also knows their pain and the suffering they are experiencing.

He sees the love you have for them and desires to give you the strength and peace you need to help your loved one through their most difficult times.

This prayer is for you. May you know what it means to rest in the Heart of Jesus and experience His healing love.

Prayer for Those Who Have Loved Ones with Anxiety and/or Depression

My dear Jesus,

I cry out to You today, as my loved one is in pain and experiencing great suffering.

When it seems all hope is lost and peace is nowhere to be found, help me to wrap my arms around the foot of the cross, the source of my strength and courage. Help me to look up to You and not only to surrender my loved one to You, but myself as well.

When they are anxious, fill them with Your peace.

When they are exhausted, fill them with Your strength.

When they are hopeless, fill their heart with Your eternal love.

When they are filled with fear, calm them with Your loving embrace.

When they are overcome with pain, infuse their body with Your healing grace.

When they can no longer see the light at the end of the tunnel, fill them with Your pure light so all they know is Your joy.

If they do not know You as their Lord now, soften their heart with Your tender love.

If they do know You as their Savior, give them a greater understanding of Your love and show them the healing power of their Savior.

My dear Jesus, I also cry out to You to fill me with Your strength.

Help me to know how to comfort and console my loved one.

Give my heart a taste of Your eternal love, so I may in turn care for them with the same love.

Help me to know what it means to rest in Your Heart, so I may know the peace that awaits me in the life to come and trust that peace is not only for me, but for my loved one as well.

I surrender all to You – my body, mind, heart, and soul, all that I am and have, and my loved one as well.

Fill us with Your Love, Your Joy, and Your Peace.

May we come to always rest in Your Heart, where the source of all mercy, healing and love is found.
