Prayer to Surrender Your Suffering to Jesus
Jesus, as I experience anxious thoughts and fears today, I call to mind the anxiety You experienced in the garden of Gethsemane. Just as I plead with You now to take my cup of suffering away, so You did as well plead with the Father to take away Yours.
Knowing what was to come, You were faithful and Your love for us was greater than any humiliations, pain, torture, and cruel death You would soon endure. You surrendered Yourself to the Father’s will, “not my will, but Yours be done.”
I surrender to You now, Jesus, my anxiety, my pain, my anguish, my whole self. Just as the Father gave You the strength to endure Your Passion, I know You will give me the strength to endure my suffering. Please use it to bring many hearts hope and lead them to You.
I trust in You, Jesus. I trust in You.
