My dear Jesus,
When sadness overwhelms me and fear seeks to rule in my heart, it is You who protects me from total and utter hopelessness and despair.
Even when the pain is great, you carry me until I can walk again.
Even when I feel as though I cannot breathe or calm the rapid beat of my heart, it is You who never allows this suffering to be more than I can bear.
I see where You have been with me through it all; You have never left my side. You have surrounded me with Your angels, You have protected me with Your light, even when all I saw was darkness.
Thank You for never abandoning me. I trust You are there now. I know in the depths of my soul is where I will always find You, relieving my pain, calming my fears, healing my wounds and consoling my heart.
Amen, my Jesus, amen.
