Even the most bitter sufferings are sweet in this adorable Heart, where everything is changed into love. [Letter written to Mother de Saumaise, at Moulins, 1680]

Reflection: My Jesus, Your Heart is a fortress of love and mercy. When I dwell within Your Heart, in my suffering I experience joy, my fear transforms into peace, my selfishness becomes mercy and compassion. Pride and self-love no longer exist, and I seem to forget what it is like to look upon anyone without seeing them through the Love of Your Heart. The effects of dwelling in Your Heart stay with me throughout my day, and I continue to experience the love of Your Heart in mine. It is an experience which sweetly lingers and the fruits of this encounter inherently spread Your Love. Bless me, have mercy on me, Jesus. May my waking desire each morning be to dwell within Your Heart for eternity. My dear Jesus, I freely accept all which comes from you, as I know in the depths of my soul I have nothing to fear from suffering as long as I dwell within Your Heart.

Saint Margaret Mary, pray for us! Sacred Heart of Jesus, may we be consumed by Your Love!
